This insert belongs to the CoroCut 1-2 series and features a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) cutting width with a left-hand lead angle and a 0-degree lead angle geometry. The PVD-applied TiAlN coating provides wear resistance and thermal stability during high-speed metal removal. With a corner radius of 0.10 mm and a 7-degree relief angle, the insert delivers controlled chip formation through the CS chipbreaker geometry. Installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians, this insert is suited for production environments where consistent groove dimensions and surface finish are critical.
This insert is intended for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 series toolholders that accept size G insert seats. It is applicable to cutoff and grooving operations in a wide range of workpiece materials where a 3.00 mm groove width is required. The left-hand configuration suits specific toolholder orientations common in gang-tool and turret-style turning setups.
