The SANDVIK COROMANT 5733750 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the L151.2 insert style specification, it features a 4.00 mm (0.1575 inch) cutting width and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process for extended tool life under demanding conditions. The 5E chipbreaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation and evacuation. This insert is installed by machinists and tool-room technicians working with T-Max Q-Cut compatible toolholders.
This insert is suited for parting and cutoff applications in both high-production and job-shop turning environments. The left-hand orientation and 0-degree lead angle make it appropriate for specific approach-direction requirements on the lathe. The 7-degree relief angle and 0.20 mm corner radius (0.0079 inch) support clean entry and exit on a range of workpiece materials. It fits into the T-Max Q-Cut series toolholder system and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed for use with T-Max Q-Cut series toolholders accepting L151.2 style inserts with an insert seat size of 40. Verify toolholder specification and insert seat size before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the appropriate clamp and torque wrench specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten the clamping screw. Inspect the insert seat and clamping components for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
