The SANDVIK COROMANT 5733414 is an indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder in the CoroCut 1-2 series, catalog style LF123G079-16B. Designed for external grooving, parting, and cut-off operations, it accepts N123G2-0300-CM inserts held in place by a clamp-style insert holding method. The toolholder is left-hand orientation and handles groove widths from 3 to 4 mm (0.1181 to 0.1575 inches) with a maximum depth of cut of 20.07 mm (0.79 inches). The 1 x 1 inch shank provides rigid support in standard square-shank toolholding setups on lathes and turning centers. Installed by machinists and CNC turning technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This toolholder is suited for external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It is intended for applications requiring precise groove width control in the 3 to 4 mm range with a maximum overhang of 0.88 inches. The CoroCut 1-2 series is a common platform in production turning environments where repeatable insert indexing and secure clamping are required. Coolant-through capability is not available on this holder, so external coolant delivery is required for heat-sensitive workpiece materials.
Designed for use with N123G2-0300-CM inserts. Compatible insert size code is N123G2. This toolholder is part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 series and is intended as an OEM-style external grooving and parting toolholder for CNC and manual turning applications requiring a left-hand LF123..B style holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC turning technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret or toolpost is de-energized before mounting or removing the toolholder. Seat the shank fully in the toolpost or turret pocket and torque all clamping screws to the machine or toolpost manufacturer specifications. When indexing inserts, follow the insert manufacturer clamping procedure for CoroCut 1-2 series holders to ensure proper seating and clamping force.
