The SANDVIK COROMANT 5733365 is an indexable boring bar from the CoroTurn 111 series, designed for internal boring and turning operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. The bar features a solid carbide construction with a 3/8-inch (9.53 mm) shank diameter and a 6-inch (152.40 mm) overall length. It accepts a single TPMT 1.81.51 insert secured by screw clamping and delivers a neutral rake angle with a 0-degree lead angle. The minimum bore diameter is 0.512 inches (13 mm), making it suitable for close-tolerance internal work. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install and set this toolholder.
This boring bar is suited for precision internal boring and turning in both production and job-shop environments. The F-STFC toolholder style and right-hand cut orientation position it for standard lathe spindle configurations. The screw-clamping insert retention method provides repeatable insert indexing, which matters in high-volume or tight-tolerance applications. The bar supports both boring and turning operations as a multi-use tool, reducing the need for multiple holders in a setup. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant delivery should be planned during setup.
Compatible with TPMT 1.81.51 inserts. Insert inscribed circle is 0.225 inches (5.71 mm). The toolholder is part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 111 series and carries manufacturer catalog number F06M-STFPR 1.8-R.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Before inserting or indexing, the machine spindle must be fully powered down and brought to a complete stop. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key for the insert screw as specified by SANDVIK COROMANT for the TPMT clamping system — do not overtighten or substitute fasteners. Since this bar has no coolant-through capability, ensure external coolant nozzles are positioned to reach the cutting zone before beginning the operation.
