The SANDVIK COROMANT 5732611 is a left-hand indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder in the CoroCut 1-2 series, designed for external grooving, parting, and cut-off operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It accepts N123E2-0200-CM inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method, providing consistent insert location and repeatable cutting performance. The toolholder handles a groove width range of 1.85 to 2.39 mm and a maximum depth of cut of 14.99 mm (0.59 inches). The 1 x 1 inch square shank and 152.40 mm overall length suit standard static tooling blocks common in production turning environments. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with bar stock, tubing, or turned components will find this holder a direct fit for tight-tolerance grooving work.
This toolholder is suited for external grooving and parting applications on production turning equipment. The left-hand orientation positions the cutting edge for specific spindle rotation and approach direction requirements. With a shank height and width of 25.40 mm (1 inch) and a shank length of 118.90 mm (4.681 inches), it mounts securely in standard square-shank turret stations. The CoroCut 1-2 series is widely used in high-volume turning cells where reliable chip control and consistent groove geometry are required. No coolant-through capability is present on this holder, so external coolant delivery should be accounted for in the setup.
Designed for use with N123E2-0200-CM inserts, compatible insert size code N123E2. This holder uses the LF123..B toolholder style within the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 series platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off, spindle stopped, and the turret fully indexed to a safe position before mounting or removing the holder. Torque the shank clamping screws according to the machine tool manufacturer specifications for the turret station in use. Confirm insert seating and clamping force before resuming cutting operations. External coolant should be directed at the cutting zone, as this holder does not feature coolant-through capability.
