The SANDVIK COROMANT 5730497 is a DCMT-style turning insert designed for external turning and profiling operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 55-degree diamond shape with a TiAlN PVD coating applied over a solid carbide substrate, delivering wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The insert carries the MM chip breaker geometry and a 0.0313 inch corner radius, making it well suited for medium finishing passes. Screw-type clamping holds the insert securely in compatible toolholders. This insert is sold individually but must be ordered in multiples of 10.

This insert is part of the CoroTurn 107 series and is intended for use in light to medium turning applications on steel and stainless steel, as well as superalloy and titanium workpiece materials. The neutral hand orientation allows use in standard right-hand toolholder setups. It is typically installed by CNC machinists and tool crib technicians in production and job-shop environments. Installation Notes
