The SANDVIK COROMANT 5721821 is an indexable boring bar from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for internal turning operations including boring, profiling, and turning. Built on a steel shank measuring 1 inch in diameter and 12 inches in overall length, this toolholder accepts DCMT 32.52 inserts secured by screw clamping. The minimum bore diameter is 1.2992 inches (33 mm), making it well suited for tight-bore applications. The neutral rake geometry with a 0-degree rake angle and 0-degree lead angle provides predictable cutting performance. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and tool life in demanding cuts.
This boring bar is used in CNC lathe and turning center applications where internal diameter work requires a rigid, repeatable toolholder setup. The right-hand cut orientation fits standard spindle configurations. The CoroTurn 107 series is a common platform for production shops running steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. One insert is used per toolholder, and the screw clamping method allows quick index changes without disturbing setup. The bar is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes within its bore diameter range.
Compatible with DCMT 32.52 inserts. Designed for use in the CoroTurn 107 series toolholder system with an A-SDUC style holder configuration. Right-hand cut orientation for standard CNC turning center setups.
Installation of indexable boring bars should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and in a locked-out state. Secure the shank firmly in the tool turret or boring bar holder to the full recommended clamp engagement length to minimize overhang deflection. Insert seating should be verified before taking a cut, and the coolant-through port should be confirmed clear and connected to the machine coolant supply. Do not exceed the insert manufacturer's recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the selected DCMT insert grade.
