The SANDVIK COROMANT 5721807 is an indexable boring bar from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for internal turning operations in metal cutting applications. Built from steel with a 1-inch shank diameter, this right-hand toolholder reaches a minimum bore diameter of 1.2992 inches (33 mm) and runs an overall length of 12 inches (304.80 mm). It uses screw clamping to secure a single VBMT 332 insert with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. The neutral rake angle and 0-degree lead angle make this bar well suited for consistent material removal in boring, profiling, and turning passes. Coolant-through capability supports chip control and tool life in continuous cutting cycles.
This toolholder is intended for CNC lathes and turning centers in production machining environments. It handles boring, profiling, and turning operations in a single setup, reducing tool changes on multi-step internal features. The A-SVQB toolholder style and CoroTurn 107 series designation are standard references for machinists sourcing replacement or additional holders for existing insert programs. The 12-inch overall length provides reach for deeper bore work while the 1-inch neck diameter maintains rigidity along the bar length.
Designed for use with VBMT 332 inserts as part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 107 series. Toolholder style is A-SVQB, right hand. Manufacturer catalog number A16T-SVQBR 3-D. Verify insert and holder pairing against current CoroTurn 107 insert grade and geometry selections before ordering.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician on a CNC lathe or turning center. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder. Confirm turret bore and shank fit before tightening, and follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder clamp screws. Do not exceed the minimum bore diameter rating, as insufficient clearance can cause insert contact with the workpiece wall.
