The SANDVIK COROMANT 5721305 is an indexable boring bar from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for internal turning, profiling, and boring operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built from steel with a 1/2-inch (12.70 mm) shank diameter and a 6-inch (152.40 mm) overall length, this right-hand-cut toolholder uses screw clamping to secure a single DCMT 21.51 insert. The neutral rake geometry and 0-degree lead angle support consistent chip control across a range of materials. Coolant-through capability is included, directing cutting fluid directly to the insert edge for improved tool life and chip evacuation in deep bore applications.
This boring bar is suited for internal diameter work in production and job-shop turning environments where minimum bore diameter, rigidity, and insert security are priorities. The A08M-SDUCR2 toolholder style is engineered for applications requiring a minimum bore diameter of 18.50 mm (0.7283 inches). Typical uses include finish boring, profiling, and light turning inside bores on steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous workpieces. It is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians in shops running medium to small bore diameters where controlled insert indexing is required.
Designed for use with DCMT 21.51 inserts (1/4-inch inscribed circle, 3/32-inch thickness). Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 107 series. Toolholder style is A-SDUC, right-hand cut.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe index position before mounting or removing the toolholder. Secure the shank in the toolpost or turret block to the machine manufacturer's specified clamping method, and verify insert seating and screw torque before initiating a cut. Always connect the coolant-through supply line if the feature is to be used, and confirm coolant flow before running the program.
