The RWC UR514A4 is a 4-pack of SharkBite 1/2-inch push-to-connect brass end caps designed to terminate a water supply line without soldering, crimping, or threading. Each cap is machined from one-piece DZR brass for dezincification resistance and rated to 200 degrees F and 200 psi. The fitting accepts copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe in a single tool-free push connection, making it a practical solution for service work and new installation alike. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters are the primary installers, though the no-solder design also suits skilled maintenance technicians working in occupied spaces.
These end caps are suited for residential and light commercial potable water systems where a branch or supply line needs to be capped quickly and reliably. The push-to-connect mechanism allows installation in confined spaces and in situations where open flame is not permitted or practical. Fittings can be buried underground or installed behind drywall without concern for long-term corrosion, which makes them appropriate for wall-in applications during remodels or new construction rough-in. Each fitting ships individually bagged within the 4-pack to prevent damage in transit.
Compatible with 1/2-inch copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe. Certified and approved under UPC, IAPMO, and NSF-61 standards for use in potable water supply systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipe fitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC or UPC as adopted by the authority having jurisdiction. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before connecting or disconnecting any fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square and deburred before insertion — rough or out-of-round cuts can compromise the internal O-ring seal. To remove the fitting, use a manufacturer-approved disconnect clip or tool; do not attempt to pull the fitting free without releasing the collet.
