The RWC UR3068FX24 is a braided flexible water heater connector designed to link hot and cold water supply lines to residential water heaters. The inlet end uses a SharkBite push-fit connection sized at 1/2 inch, while the outlet end is a 3/4 inch female iron pipe (FIP) threaded connection. Overall hose length is 24 inches. The braided construction adds flexibility and durability during installation, allowing the connector to route around tight clearances in utility closets and mechanical rooms. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this connector as part of new water heater installations or when replacing deteriorated supply line connectors. It meets ASME A112.18.6-2009, CSA B125.6, NSF/ANSI 372-2010, and NSF/ANSI 61 certifications.
This connector is suited for residential water heater installations where a push-fit SharkBite inlet simplifies the supply-side connection without soldering or compression fittings. The 24-inch length provides enough reach to accommodate standard water heater installations in closets, garages, and utility rooms. The 3/4 inch FIP end threads directly onto the male iron pipe nipples found on most residential tank-style water heaters. Thread sealant or PTFE tape applied to the MIP nipple threads before installation is standard practice.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector for residential tank-style water heaters with 3/4 inch MIP inlet and outlet nipples and 1/2 inch copper or compatible supply lines.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the cold water supply and drain pressure from the lines before disconnecting or connecting any water heater supply fittings. Apply PTFE tape or approved pipe thread sealant to the water heater MIP nipples before threading on the FIP end; tighten with channel-lock pliers or a suitable pipe wrench. Do not overtighten the SharkBite push-fit end or attempt to use it on pipe that is not clean, deburred, and within the manufacturer-specified pipe size range.
