The RWC UR256A is a SharkBite Max 3/4-inch x 3/4-inch 90-degree push-to-connect brass elbow (1/4 bend) designed for fast, tool-free pipe connections in residential and commercial plumbing systems. The fitting uses a stainless-steel retainer mechanism that delivers a 250 psi pressure rating and reduced insertion effort compared to first-generation push-to-connect designs. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or specialty tools are required. Licensed plumbers and journeyman pipefitters install this fitting as a primary connection method or as a service repair fitting where torch work is not practical or permitted.
The UR256A is suited for use with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe in potable water supply, hydronic, and general plumbing distribution applications. The 90-degree elbow configuration handles direction changes at walls, floors, and fixture rough-ins. The fitting can be rotated after seating for alignment adjustments. A standard SharkBite disconnect clip or disconnect tongs allows the fitting to be removed and reused, making it a practical choice for temporary connections and staged rough-in work.
Compatible with 3/4-inch PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe. Designed as a push-to-connect replacement or new-installation fitting for residential and light commercial potable water plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting insertion. Ensure pipe ends are cut square and deburred, and that the pipe is inserted to the full depth mark before pressurizing the system. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines for push-to-connect fittings in concealed or permanent applications.
