The RWC UR248A is a SharkBite Max 1/2-inch x 1/2-inch 90-degree push-to-connect brass elbow designed for fast, tool-free pipe connections in plumbing systems. It features a redesigned stainless-steel retainer and a 250 psi burst pressure rating, making it suitable for demanding residential and light commercial applications. The re-engineered body reduces insertion effort compared to first-generation SharkBite fittings and does not require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, glue, or special tools are needed. Licensed plumbers and qualified installers use this fitting for quick directional changes in supply lines and distribution piping.

The UR248A is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 90-degree directional change is required. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified tradespeople in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the water supply line before installation. Cut pipe square, deburr the cut end, and mark the insertion depth before pushing the pipe fully into the fitting. A SharkBite disconnect clip or disconnect tool is required for removal — do not attempt to pull the fitting free without the proper tool.
