The RWC UR22222A is a 1/2-inch brass push-fit ball valve designed for fast, tool-free shutoff in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Constructed from one-piece DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, the valve resists corrosion and maintains structural integrity in aggressive water conditions. The push-fit ends accept copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe without soldering, crimping, or threading. The valve is rated to 200 degrees F and 200 psi, making it suitable for both hot and cold supply lines. Fittings are removable and reusable with the appropriate disconnect clip, and the valve is approved for burial and concealed installations behind drywall.
This valve is suited for residential water distribution, remodeling work, and service calls where quick isolation is needed without a torch or specialty tools. Its push-fit design makes it a common choice for plumbers working in tight spaces or retrofitting existing systems. The valve ships individually bagged and is sold as a single unit.
Compatible with 1/2-inch copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe. Suitable for potable water supply systems meeting NSF-61 requirements for residential and light commercial plumbing.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified tradespersons. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before installing or removing the valve. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before engaging the push-fit mechanism. Consult local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) for concealed or buried valve installation requirements.
