The RWC UIP4020 is a brass transition coupling designed to connect CTS (Copper Tube Size) pipe to PVC pipe at a 1-inch nominal size. This push-to-connect style fitting allows plumbers and pipe fitters to make a secure, leak-resistant joint between two different pipe materials without soldering, gluing, or special tooling. It is commonly used during repairs or system modifications where a CTS supply line meets a PVC drain, vent, or distribution line. The brass construction provides durability and corrosion resistance in both potable water and general plumbing applications.
This transition coupling is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where CTS and PVC piping systems intersect. Typical applications include water service transitions, fixture supply connections, and repair scenarios where two pipe materials must be joined inline. The push-to-connect end on the CTS side and the PVC-compatible end on the opposite side allow for straightforward installation in tight spaces or retrofit conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style transition fitting for 1-inch nominal CTS to PVC pipe connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing pipe. Ensure pipe ends are cut square and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect end. Do not exceed the pressure or temperature ratings appropriate for PVC pipe on the PVC side of the connection.
