The RWC UIP120A is a push-to-connect transition fitting designed to join PVC pipe to a male NPT threaded connection without soldering, glue, unions, or special tools. The white collar accepts Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipe as well as Schedule 40 and 80 CPVC, making it a versatile choice for plumbing transitions. Using the SharkBite push-fit mechanism, the fitting seats quickly and securely, then can be rotated on the pipe after installation to ease alignment in confined spaces. A disconnect clip is included, allowing the fitting to be removed and repositioned during rough-in or repair work. Licensed plumbers and journeymen plumbers install this fitting in potable water distribution systems.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution applications. Its corrosion-resistant construction supports long service life in both above-ground and below-grade installations. The UIP120A is certified for underground and behind-the-wall use without access panels, which simplifies rough-in work in new construction and remodel projects where future access may be limited. It is appropriate for use wherever a PVC pipe run must terminate or transition to a male NPT threaded fitting.
Compatible with Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipe and Schedule 40 and 80 CPVC pipe at 1/2 inch diameter, transitioning to a 1/2 inch male NPT connection. Meets UPC, IPC, and cUPC requirements.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing code and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any fitting. Pipe ends must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned before insertion into the push-fit collar to ensure a proper seal. Use the included disconnect clip and a SharkBite disconnect tool or equivalent to release the fitting if repositioning is required.
