The RWC UC444LFA is a PEX barb reducing tee fitting manufactured in brass, designed for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It provides a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch transition that allows pipe-size reduction at a branch point in a PEX distribution system. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in potable water distribution lines and hydronic heating systems. Weighing 0.13 pounds, the UC444LFA meets ASTM F1807 dimensional standards and carries NSF/ANSI 61 certification for contact with drinking water, as well as NSF 372 compliance for lead-free content.
This fitting is suited for residential potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications where a reducing branch connection is required. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility based on the tooling available on the job. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately. The reducing tee configuration handles trunk-to-branch size transitions in a single fitting, eliminating the need for an inline reducer and a separate tee.
Rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. Compatible with PEX tubing using stainless steel clamp ring systems or copper crimp ring systems per ASTM F1807. Clamp and crimp tooling and rings are sold separately.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use the appropriate clamp ring tool or crimp ring tool rated for the tubing size being connected. Inspect the barb seat and tubing cut end for squareness and debris before seating the fitting.
