The RWC UC416LFA is a reducing brass PEX barb tee fitting designed for plumbing systems that require a branch-size reduction at a tee junction. It connects 1-inch run ports to a 3/4-inch branch port, allowing transitions between pipe sizes without additional adapters. The body is constructed from brass and is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility based on the tooling they already carry. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution and hydronic heating systems.
This fitting is suited for potable water distribution lines and hydronic heating applications where a reducing branch connection is needed. The barb-style end connections are designed to work with PEX tubing, making it a practical choice during new construction rough-in or retrofit work where pipe sizing changes between supply mains and branch lines. It is sold as an individual fitting (each), and clamp rings or crimp rings are sold separately.
Designed for use with PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems using a stainless steel clamp ring system or a copper crimp ring system. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F1807 guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing pipe. Use the appropriate PEX clamp or crimp tool rated for the fitting system being used — clamp tools and crimp tools are not interchangeable. Inspect barb seating and ring position before pressurizing the system.
