The RWC UC414LFA is a SharkBite PEX barb reducing tee manufactured in brass, sized at 1 inch by 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch. It is designed to create a reducing branch connection in PEX piping systems, allowing a technician to transition between pipe sizes at a single fitting. The UC414LFA is rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications and meets ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 certifications. Plumbers and hydronic heating installers use this fitting where a main run must split to a smaller branch line. It is sold as a single unit.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial PEX installations, including domestic water distribution and closed-loop hydronic heating systems. It works with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility based on the tooling already on the truck. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately. The brass body holds up to the temperature and pressure demands common in both application types.
Rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. Compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems per ASTM F1807. Clamp and crimp tooling and rings are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into existing lines or making new connections. Ensure PEX tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely before seating them fully onto the barb. Use the appropriate crimp or clamp tool rated for the ring system being installed to achieve a leak-free connection.
