The RWC UC362LFA is a 1/2-inch by 1/2-inch by 1/2-inch barb-style PEX tee fitting manufactured from lead-free DZR brass. It is designed for use in PEX tubing systems where a branch connection is required, delivering a reliable, low-profile joint in residential and light commercial plumbing installations. The fitting meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372 requirements, confirming suitability for potable water contact. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters are the primary installers. Its barb configuration is compatible with both stainless steel clamp rings and copper crimp rings, giving installers flexibility based on the tooling already on the truck.
This tee fitting is suited for potable water distribution lines and hydronic heating systems. The barb design seats into PEX tubing and is secured with either a stainless steel ear clamp or a copper crimp ring, each sold separately. It is appropriate for use in new construction rough-in work and retrofit or repair scenarios where a branch takeoff is needed in an existing PEX run. The fitting is sold individually.
Compatible with PEX tubing systems using stainless steel clamp ring or copper crimp ring installation methods for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications, per ASTM F1807.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing PEX run. Use the appropriate crimp or clamp tool rated for the ring system being used — do not attempt to seat barb fittings by hand pressure alone without proper ring-securing tooling. Inspect the barb seat and tubing end for burrs or debris before assembly.
