The RWC UC260LFA is a 1-inch by 1-inch barb 90-degree elbow fitting designed for PEX tubing connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Constructed from lead-free DZR brass, this fitting provides a directional change in PEX runs without the need for specialized press tools. It installs using either a stainless steel clamp system or a copper crimp ring system, giving installers flexibility to work with whatever crimping or clamping method is already on the truck. Certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372, it meets lead-free requirements for potable water contact. Weighing 0.2 pounds, it is a compact, low-profile fitting suited to tight spaces.
This elbow is appropriate for potable water distribution lines and hydronic heating applications. Plumbers and pipefitters installing PEX rough-in systems will encounter this fitting in branch-line turns, closet bends, and header connections. It performs in both open-wall new construction and retrofit repiping work where a 90-degree change of direction is needed at a 1-inch line size. The barb design requires a compatible clamp or crimp ring and tool set to achieve a rated connection, each sold separately.
Designed for use with 1-inch PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems meeting ASTM F1807 standards. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into an existing PEX run. A properly sized barb crimping tool or clamp tool rated for the ring type being used is required to achieve a leak-free connection. Inspect the barb seat and tubing cut end for burrs or deformation before seating the fitting.
