The RWC UC138LFA is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb male adapter designed to connect PEX tubing to threaded pipe connections in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Sized at 3/4 inch crimp-fit (CF) on the barb end and 1/2 inch male pipe thread (MPT) on the other, this fitting provides a reliable mechanical connection without the need for specialized push-to-connect tools. Rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications, the UC138LFA meets ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 standards, confirming lead-free construction and suitability for drinking water contact. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this adapter during new construction or retrofit work where PEX tubing transitions to a threaded fitting or valve body.
This adapter is suited for potable water supply lines and hydronic heating loops in residential and light commercial installations. The barb end accepts connection via a stainless steel clamp system or a copper crimp ring system — both sold separately. It is a practical, low-cost solution wherever a PEX run must terminate at a male-threaded component such as a valve, manifold port, or threaded fitting.
Rated for use in potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. Compatible with stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems (sold separately) per ASTM F1807. Designed as an OEM-style PEX barb adapter for 3/4 inch PEX tubing transitioning to 1/2 inch male pipe thread connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into existing lines or making connections. Use the appropriate crimp or clamp tool rated for the ring system being used — do not attempt to seat the barb without the correct installation tool, as an improperly seated connection can fail under pressure. Inspect the barb and tubing end for burrs or debris before assembly.
