The RWC UC120LFA10 is a SharkBite PEX barb threaded male adapter designed for fast, reliable connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Manufactured from lead-free DZR brass, this fitting features a barbed inlet sized for 1/2 inch CF PEX tubing and a 1/2 inch male NPT threaded outlet. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility in their preferred connection method. The lead-free construction meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372 requirements, making it suitable for potable water contact. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This adapter is intended for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. It provides a straightforward transition from PEX tubing to a male NPT threaded connection, which is commonly needed when tying into fixtures, valves, manifolds, or threaded supply lines. The 1/2 inch size is among the most common in residential water distribution, making this fitting a frequent choice in new construction, remodel, and repair work. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately and are not included with this fitting.
Suitable for use in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems for 1/2 inch PEX tubing. Meets ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before making any connections. Use the appropriate clamp or crimp tool rated for the ring system being used — do not attempt to seat the barb without the correct tooling, as an incomplete connection can cause leaks. Inspect the PEX tubing end for squareness and freedom from debris before inserting the barb fitting.
