The RWC UC120LFA is a 1/2-inch CopperFit (CF) barb by 1/2-inch male NPT (MNPT) threaded adapter designed to transition PEX tubing to a male-threaded connection. The body is manufactured from lead-free DZR brass, meeting the requirements for drinking water contact. The barb end accepts a stainless steel clamp system or a copper crimp ring system, each sold separately. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters use this fitting in both new construction and retrofit installations where PEX meets a threaded port. It is a single-piece, low-profile component that keeps transition points compact and reliable.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems as well as hydronic heating applications. It is installed wherever a PEX run needs to terminate or branch into a male-threaded valve, manifold port, or fixture connection. The 1/2-inch sizing covers the most common residential supply line diameter. Clamp and crimp tooling are required on the barb side; standard pipe wrenches or channel-lock pliers handle the MNPT side.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems (sold separately). Suitable for systems requiring ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 compliant fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting any connections. Use the appropriate barb clamp or crimp tool sized for 1/2-inch PEX to secure the barb end; do not attempt to hand-tighten barb connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads before making up the threaded joint.
