The RWC UC060LFA is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb coupling designed to connect PEX tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This fitting features a 1-inch barb inlet and a 3/4-inch barb outlet, making it suitable for reducing transitions within a PEX distribution system. The DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass construction meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372 standards for lead-free potable water contact. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as a low-cost, reliable solution where PEX-to-PEX connections are required during new construction or retrofit work.
This coupling is rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility to use the connection method already on the job. The UC060LFA meets ASTM F1807 standards and is sold individually, with clamp rings and crimp rings available separately. It is well suited for residential plumbing rough-in, radiant heating loops, and in-wall water distribution repairs.
Rated for use in potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems. Clamp rings and crimp rings are each sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing PEX tubing. Use a properly calibrated clamp tool or crimp tool appropriate for the ring system being used. Inspect the barb seats and tubing ends for burrs or debris before seating the fitting to ensure a leak-free connection.
