The RWC UC009LFA is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb coupling designed to connect PEX tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The fitting transitions from a 3/8 inch barb end to a 1/2 inch barb end, making it a practical solution for reducing or transitioning between two common PEX tubing sizes. Manufactured from dezincification-resistant brass, it meets strict lead-free standards for use in potable water systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of PEX distribution runs, hydronic heating loops, or repair connections where a low-profile, cost-effective barb joint is appropriate.
This coupling is suited for both residential potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. It is compatible with the stainless steel clamp ring system and the copper crimp ring system, giving installers flexibility to work with whichever tool set is already on the truck. Clamp rings and crimp rings are each sold separately. The fitting is sold individually and carries a minimum order quantity of 6 units.
Designed for use with PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. Compatible with stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems as defined by ASTM F1807. Clamp and crimp tooling are sold separately.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting. Use the correct clamp or crimp tool sized for the tubing diameter to ensure a leak-free connection. Inspect the barb seat and tubing cut for squareness before seating the fitting.
