The RWC UC008LFA10 is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb coupling designed to join PEX tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Sized at 1/2 inch barb x 1/2 inch barb, it provides a secure, leak-resistant connection without requiring specialty tools or torch work. The coupling is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility depending on the tooling on hand. This 10-pack is well suited for rough-in plumbing jobs, retrofit work, and hydronic heating installations where multiple connections are needed at once. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipefitters are the typical installers.
This coupling is rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications, making it a dual-purpose fitting for residential new construction and remodel projects. The lead-free DZR brass construction meets current requirements for drinking water contact surfaces. It works with standard PEX tubing systems using either stainless steel clamp rings or copper crimp rings applied with the appropriate installation tool. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately. The 10-pack format reduces per-unit cost on larger jobs.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems. Clamp and crimp tooling and rings are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F1807 guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use the correct clamp or crimp tool sized for 1/2 inch fittings to ensure a proper seal. Do not use open flame or soldering equipment with this fitting.
