The RWC UC006LFA is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb coupling designed to join PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. The fitting connects 3/8 inch barb to 3/8 inch barb and is built to handle the demands of residential and light commercial plumbing installations. Constructed from dezincification-resistant brass, it meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372 standards for lead-free compliance. Its straightforward barb design keeps installation time and material costs low, making it a practical choice for plumbers working with PEX systems. The UC006LFA is sold individually and weighs 0.325 pounds.
This coupling is suited for use in PEX-based potable water supply lines and hydronic heating applications. It works with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility depending on the tools and methods already on the job. Clamp rings and crimp rings are each sold separately. The fitting is appropriate for residential new construction, remodel work, and repair scenarios where PEX tubing is the piping material of choice.
Rated for use in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems as defined by ASTM F1807. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Use the appropriate crimp or clamp tool sized for 3/8 inch PEX fittings to achieve a proper seal. Verify the ring is seated correctly and inspect the connection before restoring water pressure.
