The RWC U520LFA is a 1-inch push-to-connect brass end cap from the SharkBite product line, designed to terminate water supply lines without soldering, crimping, or threading. Constructed from one-piece DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this fitting handles up to 200 degrees F and 200 psi, making it suitable for domestic hot and cold water applications. The push-to-connect mechanism allows a licensed plumber or experienced installer to complete the connection quickly using no special tooling. Each fitting is individually bagged and sold as a single unit.
This end cap is rated for use with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe, covering the most common residential and light commercial water distribution materials. Typical applications include capping off branch lines, terminating stub-outs, and sealing unused ports in both new construction and retrofit plumbing work. Because the fitting is approved for concealed installation, it can be buried underground or placed behind drywall once inspected per local code requirements. The fitting is also removable and reusable, which is useful during phased construction or when system changes are needed later.
Compatible with 1-inch copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe. Certified under UPC, IAPMO, and NSF-61 standards for use in potable water systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC or UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before connecting or removing the fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before insertion — debris or out-of-round pipe ends can compromise the seal. To remove the fitting, use a SharkBite disconnect clip or equivalent removal tool; do not attempt to pull the fitting free while the line is under pressure.
