The RWC U512LFA is a push-to-connect brass end cap designed to terminate a water supply line without soldering, crimping, or threading. The fitting accepts 3/8-inch pipe size with a 1/2-inch outer diameter and is constructed from one-piece DZR brass for corrosion resistance. It is rated at 200 degrees F and 200 psi, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and light commercial plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and journeyman pipefitters install this fitting by hand, with no special tooling required beyond a pipe cutter and deburring tool for proper end preparation.
This end cap is suited for terminating copper, PEX, and CPVC lines in residential and light commercial potable water systems. Common applications include capping off unused branch lines, service relocations, and rough-in work where a line must be sealed temporarily or permanently. The fitting can be buried in soil and installed behind drywall without access panels, which makes it practical for concealed plumbing installations. The push-fit design allows the fitting to be removed and reused with the proper disconnect tool.
Designed for use with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe at 3/8-inch pipe size (1/2-inch OD) in potable water plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before installing or removing the fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the marked depth line before making the connection. Consult local plumbing code and IPC requirements for approved applications in concealed or underground installations.
