The RWC U3486LFA is a 3/4-inch SharkBite push-to-connect female center slip tee designed for copper, CPVC, and PEX pipe systems. The fitting uses SharkBite push-fit technology on both run ends, with a female NPT threaded branch outlet. The slip tee design allows the fitting to slide onto an existing pipe run and connect without cutting out a section of pipe. Installation does not require soldering, clamps, or crimping tools. Rated to 200 degrees F and 200 psi, this fitting suits potable water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing. Licensed plumbers and qualified trades install this fitting during service or new construction work.
The U3486LFA is commonly used to add an expansion tank connection on a water heater supply line. The FNPT branch allows direct threaded connection of an expansion tank without additional adapters. The included Disconnect Clip allows the fitting to be repositioned on the pipe after installation, which is useful in confined spaces such as utility closets and mechanical rooms. The rotational capability on the pipe makes it easier to align the threaded branch to the tank inlet without disturbing the run connections.
Designed as an OEM-style push-fit replacement fitting for 3/4-inch copper, CPVC, and PEX pipe in residential and light commercial potable water systems. Compatible with water heater expansion tank installations and similar plumbing branch applications.
Licensed plumbers install this fitting in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installation. Ensure pipe ends are clean, deburred, and free of corrosion before inserting into the push-fit ends. Use the included Disconnect Clip to release the fitting if repositioning is required after connection.
