The RWC U334LFA is a SharkBite push-to-connect drop ear brass elbow designed for fast, tool-free pipe connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It features a 1/2-inch push-to-connect inlet and a 1/2-inch female pipe thread (FPT) outlet at a 90-degree angle, allowing plumbers to transition from a supply line to a wall-mounted fixture without soldering. Constructed from single-piece DZR brass, this fitting is rated for service up to 200 degrees F and 200 psi. The drop ear profile includes mounting holes for securing the fitting to a stud or blocking, providing a stable anchor point for faucet or fixture supply connections.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where copper, PEX, or CPVC tubing terminates at a wall-mounted outlet. Typical applications include rough-in work for sinks, lavatories, showers, and washing machine valves where the fitting is secured to framing before drywall installation. Because the fitting is rated for burial and in-wall use, it is appropriate for concealed applications where long-term reliability is required. Licensed plumbers and plumbing contractors are the primary installers, though experienced DIYers working under permit may use this fitting as well.
Compatible with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe in 1/2-inch nominal size. Certified and approved under UPC, IAPMO, and NSF-61 standards for use in potable water systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC or UPC as adopted. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making or breaking any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the fitting to achieve a proper seal. To remove the fitting for repositioning or reuse, use a manufacturer-approved disconnect clip to release the collet before pulling the pipe free.
