The RWC U334LF is a 90-degree drop-ear elbow designed for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a branch connection needs to be anchored to a wall or framing surface. One end accepts push-fit connection for fast, tool-free joining to copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe. The other end is female NPT threaded for connecting a shower arm, faucet nipple, or similar threaded fitting. Constructed from lead-free brass, this fitting meets modern potable water standards. The integral mounting ears allow the fitting to be fastened directly to a stud or backing plate before drywall is closed, providing a stable, vibration-resistant connection point.
This fitting is commonly used in new construction and remodel projects during rough-in for showers, tub spouts, and wall-mount faucets. It is installed by licensed plumbers and skilled DIYers working on potable water supply lines. The push-fit end speeds up installation in tight wall cavities where soldering or crimping tools are difficult to maneuver. The 1/2-inch nominal size is the standard supply line size for most residential fixture connections in North America.
Designed as an OEM-style push-fit drop-ear elbow for 1/2-inch nominal copper, CPVC, and PEX supply piping in residential and light commercial potable water systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable edition of the International Plumbing Code. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing pipe. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully seated to the depth mark before the push-fit connection is made. Secure the mounting ears to solid backing with appropriate fasteners before closing the wall cavity.
