Product Description

The RWC U3020LFA is a 1-inch push-to-connect brass slip repair coupling designed for fast, tool-free pipe repair on copper systems. Unlike a standard coupling, a slip fitting has a stop on only one end, allowing the opposite end to slide freely over the pipe. This design lets a single fitting do the work of two couplings plus a cut-in pipe section, reducing the scope of a burst pipe or leak repair. Rated at 200 degrees F and 200 psi, the U3020LFA is built from one-piece DZR brass and meets NSF-61, IAPMO, and UPC certification requirements. A disconnect clip is included.

This fitting is intended for use on copper pipe only. It suits residential and light commercial plumbing repairs where a section of pipe has failed due to a burst, pinhole leak, or freeze damage. The push-to-connect design allows a licensed plumber or qualified plumbing technician to complete the repair without soldering, making it well suited for tight spaces or situations where open flame is restricted. Fittings can be installed in concealed locations, including burial and behind drywall, and are removable and reusable.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before cutting out the damaged pipe section. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the fitting. To remove the fitting, use the included disconnect clip or a compatible push-to-connect disconnect tool and slide the fitting free — do not force or pry the connection apart.
