The RWC U249LFA is a 1/2-inch push-to-connect drop ear brass elbow designed for fast, tool-free connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This 90-degree fitting is constructed from one-piece DZR brass and is rated for service up to 200 degrees F and 200 psi. The drop ear configuration provides a wall-mount anchor point, making it a practical solution for shower arm stubs, tub spout drops, and similar fixture tie-ins. Licensed plumbers and experienced tradespeople install this fitting without soldering, crimping, or compression tools. It ships individually bagged and weighs 0.242 pounds.
This fitting is suitable for potable water distribution in residential and commercial applications. It connects directly to copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe without adapters or transition fittings. The drop ear design mounts to framing or blocking before drywall installation, making it well suited for new construction rough-in and remodel work where wall-outlet positioning is required. Because fittings can be buried and placed behind drywall, installers can complete rough-in with confidence in long-term joint integrity.
Compatible with 1/2-inch copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe. Fittings can be buried in walls and placed behind drywall. Approved for potable water service per UPC, IAPMO, and NSF-61 certification.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable plumbing code, including IPC and UPC requirements. Before installing or removing the fitting, shut off the water supply and depressurize the line. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before insertion to the depth mark. The fitting is removable with a disconnect clip or tool; never force the collet without releasing it properly, as this can damage the internal grab ring.
