The RWC U142LFA is a reducing push-to-connect male adapter designed for fast, tool-free plumbing connections in residential and light commercial systems. It transitions from a 1-inch push-to-connect end to a 3/4-inch male iron pipe thread (MNPT) and is constructed from single-piece DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass. No soldering, gluing, or unions are required — the fitting seats and seals on insertion. Rated for 200 psi and 200 degrees F, this adapter handles the demands of domestic water distribution without additional fittings or adapters at the transition point. Lead content on wetted surfaces does not exceed 0.25% weighted average, meeting current safe-drinking-water standards.
This adapter is suited for residential and commercial potable water systems where a quick, reliable transition between pipe sizes and thread types is needed. It works with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe on the push-to-connect end, making it a versatile choice during retrofits, repairs, or new rough-in work. The fitting can be installed in concealed locations, including behind drywall and in direct-burial applications, which reduces the need for access panels or exposed connections at size transitions. Removal is possible using a standard SharkBite disconnect clip, and the fitting is reusable after removal.
Compatible with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe on the 1-inch push-to-connect end; connects to 3/4-inch male iron pipe thread fittings and valves on the threaded end.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified mechanical contractors working under applicable codes, including the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before pressurizing the line. Use a SharkBite disconnect clip for removal — do not attempt to pull the fitting free under pressure or without the proper clip tool.
