The RWC U140LFA is a 1-inch by 1-inch male NPT straight push-to-connect adapter made from one-piece DZR brass. It connects a push-fit pipe end to a male iron pipe thread without solder, glue, or specialty tools. The fitting is rated for 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for potable water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers and experienced tradespeople install this type of fitting where fast, reliable connections are required and where access may be limited. The low-lead construction meets current potable water standards with no more than 0.25% weighted average lead content on wetted surfaces.
This adapter is designed for use with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe. It is appropriate for residential and commercial domestic water distribution systems where a transition from push-fit tubing to a male NPT threaded port is needed. Common applications include connecting supply lines to valves, water heaters, manifolds, and other threaded fittings. The fitting can be installed in concealed locations, including behind drywall and in direct-burial applications, reducing the need for access panels or exposed unions.
Designed for use with copper, PEX, and CPVC pipe in potable water systems. Compatible with 1-inch male NPT threaded ports on valves, water heaters, manifolds, and similar plumbing components.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making or breaking any connection. Ensure pipe ends are cut cleanly and deburred before inserting into the fitting. To remove the fitting, use a manufacturer-approved disconnect clip to release the internal collet without damaging the pipe or fitting body.
