The RWC U140LF is a straight male connector designed for fast, tool-free transitions between push-fit tubing and male NPT threaded fittings. Built from lead-free brass, this fitting meets modern potable water compliance requirements. The 1-inch nominal size accommodates standard residential and light commercial plumbing runs. It is installed by licensed plumbers and experienced pipefitters wherever a secure, leak-resistant connection between flexible or rigid tubing and a threaded pipe or valve is needed. The push-fit end accepts the tube without soldering, while the MNPT end threads directly into a female-threaded port.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications including water distribution lines, fixture supply connections, and equipment hookups. It is commonly used when transitioning from copper, CPVC, or PEX tubing to a threaded component such as a valve, manifold, or appliance fitting. The push-fit design makes it practical in tight spaces where torch work is not feasible or permitted.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install push-fit male connector for 1-inch nominal copper, CPVC, or PEX tubing systems terminating at female NPT threaded ports.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any push-fit fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before insertion into the push-fit end. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads before engaging the female-threaded port.
