Product Description

The RWC U118LFA is a reducing brass push-to-connect male adapter designed for fast, tool-free connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It connects 3/8-inch CTS (1/2-inch OD) tubing to a 1/2-inch male iron pipe thread (MNPT) fitting end. Built from one-piece DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this adapter is rated for temperatures up to 200 degrees F and pressures up to 200 psi. The push-to-connect design requires no solder, glue, unions, or specialty tools, making it a practical choice for plumbers and pipefitters working in tight spaces or retrofit applications.

This adapter is suited for use in residential and commercial potable water distribution systems. It is compatible with copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing and can be installed in concealed locations including behind drywall and in direct-burial applications. The fitting is removable and reusable when used with a standard disconnect clip, adding flexibility for service and modification work. Each unit is individually bagged and sold as a single piece.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the UPC and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making or removing connections. Tubing must be cut square and deburred before insertion to ensure a proper seal. To remove the fitting, use a manufacturer-approved disconnect clip — do not attempt to pull the fitting free without the clip, as this can damage the internal grab ring.
