The RWC U116LFA is a reducing brass push-to-connect male adapter designed for fast, tool-free plumbing connections in residential and light commercial water supply systems. It transitions from a 1/2-inch push-to-connect inlet to a 3/4-inch male iron pipe (MIP) threaded outlet. Constructed from one-piece DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, the fitting is rated for service up to 200 degrees F and 200 psi. No solder, glue, unions, or specialty tools are required for installation. The push-to-connect end accepts copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing, making this adapter versatile across common pipe types used in residential plumbing rough-in and repair work.
This fitting is suited for residential water supply applications where a push-fit connection must transition to a male threaded port on valves, fixtures, or equipment. It can be installed in concealed locations, including buried runs and behind drywall, once connections are confirmed secure. The adapter ships individually bagged and is sold as a single unit. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters are the primary installers for this type of fitting in both new construction and retrofit scenarios.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing on the push-to-connect end, threading into 3/4-inch male iron pipe fittings, valves, or fixture ports. Certified and approved under UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code), IAPMO, and NSF-61 for potable water applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the applicable requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before making or breaking any connections. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and cleaned before inserting into the push-to-connect end. To remove the fitting, use an approved disconnect clip — do not attempt to pull the fitting free without the clip, as this can damage the internal gripping ring.
