The RWC U086LFA is a push-to-connect brass water softener adapter designed to join copper, PEX, or CPVC tubing to a 1-inch female iron pipe (FIP) fitting on water softener equipment. Built from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, the fitting resists corrosion in potable water systems and delivers long-term durability in demanding plumbing environments. It is rated to 200 degrees F and 200 psi, making it suitable for residential water treatment applications where reliable sealing under pressure and heat is required. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians install this fitting as a fast, tool-free connection during softener hookup or replacement.
The U086LFA is intended for residential and light commercial water softener installations where a transition between flexible tubing and a standard 1-inch FIP port is needed. The push-fit design allows the adapter to be installed without soldering, gluing, or threading tools. It is certified for underground and behind-the-wall use without access panels, making it appropriate for concealed installations that require a manufactured joint. A demount clip (sold separately) allows the fitting to be released from the pipe if reconfiguration is needed during or after installation.
Connects 3/4-inch copper, PEX, or CPVC tubing to 1-inch FIP fittings on standard water softener equipment. Sold individually (1 per bag).
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes, including IPC and UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before connecting or disconnecting the fitting. Tubing must be cut cleanly and deburred before insertion into the push-fit end to ensure a proper seal. If removal is required, use the compatible demount clip (sold separately) rather than attempting to force the fitting off the pipe.
