The RWC U072LF is a straight female connector designed for fast, tool-free plumbing transitions between push-fit tubing and female NPT threaded fittings. Built from lead-free brass, this 1/2-inch nominal fitting accepts compatible push-fit tubing on one end and connects to a female NPT port on the other. It is rated for use in potable water systems where lead-free compliance is required. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this fitting in residential and light commercial water supply lines where a quick, reliable connection to a threaded fitting is needed without soldering or compression tools.
This connector is suited for residential water supply applications including fixture supply lines, angle stop transitions, and branch connections to threaded valves or fixtures. The push-fit end accepts copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing at the 1/2-inch nominal size. The FNPT end threads onto male NPT fittings using standard pipe thread engagement. It is commonly used in new construction, remodel work, and repair scenarios where speed of installation is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style push-fit fitting compatible with 1/2-inch nominal copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing on the push-fit end, and standard 1/2-inch male NPT threaded ports on the female threaded end.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified trades following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before making any connections. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before inserting into the push-fit end. Thread the FNPT end onto male NPT fittings by hand first, then tighten with a wrench using appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to prevent leaks.
