The RWC U009LFA is a 3/8-inch by 1/2-inch push-to-connect reducing coupling made from one-piece DZR brass. It is designed for fast, tool-free connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The fitting accepts copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing and is rated for service up to 200 degrees F and 200 psi. The push-to-connect mechanism allows a licensed plumber or experienced installer to make a secure connection without soldering, crimping, or threading. Wetted surfaces contain no more than 0.25% weighted average lead content, meeting current low-lead compliance requirements.
This fitting is suited for water supply line repairs, remodeling work, and new construction where mixed tubing types meet or a size transition is needed. Because it can be buried in soil and concealed behind drywall, it works in both accessible and in-wall locations. Its removable and reusable design makes it a practical choice for service calls where a fitting may need to be repositioned or recovered after installation.
Compatible with copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing in 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch nominal sizes. Suitable for potable water systems where UPC, IAPMO, and NSF-61 certification is required.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before making or breaking any connection. Tubing ends must be cut square and deburred, and the full insertion depth mark should be confirmed before pressurizing. To disconnect, use a SharkBite disconnect clip or disconnect tongs to depress the collet before pulling the tube free.
