The RWC QFC-11418 is a flexible gas or water connector designed for use in residential and light commercial plumbing and mechanical systems. Built from 304 stainless steel, it offers corrosion resistance and long-term durability in demanding service environments. The connector features 1-1/4 inch female NPT (FNPT) end connections and an 18 inch overall length, making it suitable for bridging offsets between supply lines and appliances or equipment. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of flex connector as part of final connections to water heaters, boilers, and similar equipment.
This flex connector is used in residential and commercial installations where a flexible, vibration-absorbing connection is needed between rigid pipe and an appliance or piece of mechanical equipment. The 18 inch length provides enough flexibility to accommodate minor misalignment between supply and equipment inlets. The FNPT ends thread directly onto male NPT fittings, which are standard on most water heaters, boilers, and similar equipment connections. Domestic manufacture supports project specifications that require domestic-origin materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flex connector for residential and light commercial plumbing systems using 1-1/4 inch NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water or gas supply and relieve system pressure before disconnecting any existing connector or fitting. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on NPT threads and do not overtighten, as excess torque can damage the connector ends. Inspect the flex connector for kinks or damage before placing the system back in service.
