The RWC QFC-11218 is a flexible stainless steel pipe connector designed for use in plumbing and mechanical systems where vibration isolation, slight misalignment correction, or flexible service connections are required. Built from 304 stainless steel, this connector measures 18 inches in length with 1.5-inch female NPT (FNPT) end connections on both ends. The braided or corrugated flex body allows for controlled movement while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant connection. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of connector in water supply, HVAC hydronic, and similar piping applications.
This flex connector suits residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a rigid pipe connection is not practical or where equipment movement must be absorbed. Typical applications include water heater connections, pump isolation, boiler supply and return lines, and similar service points where the connector bridges equipment to fixed piping. The FNPT ends thread directly onto standard NPT male fittings, making installation straightforward with common hand tools.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose flex connector for 1.5-inch NPT plumbing and mechanical piping systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing any existing connector or fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before making up the connection, and tighten with a pipe wrench to a snug, leak-free fit without over-torquing the stainless fittings. Do not exceed the connector's rated working pressure or bend the flex body beyond its minimum bend radius.
