The RWC QFC-0118 is a corrugated flexible connector designed for use in plumbing and mechanical piping systems where vibration isolation, minor misalignment, or thermal expansion relief is required. Built from 304 stainless steel, it offers corrosion resistance suited to both potable water and general fluid transfer applications. The connector measures 18 inches in length with 1-inch female NPT (FNPT) end connections on both ends. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of flex connector as part of water heater, boiler, pump, and equipment connection work.
This flex connector is intended for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a rigid pipe-to-equipment connection is not practical or code-appropriate. Typical applications include water heater supply and return connections, circulator pump isolation, and boiler inlet or outlet connections. The FNPT threading allows direct connection to male-threaded pipe nipples or equipment ports without additional adapters in most standard installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flex connector for residential and light commercial plumbing equipment requiring a 1-inch FNPT threaded flexible connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing any existing connector or making new connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before engaging the FNPT fittings, and hand-tighten before applying a wrench. Do not over-bend or compress the flex body beyond its natural range, as this can damage the corrugated section and cause premature failure.
