The RWC 263 is an acoustic thru-stud isolator and suspension clamp designed to reduce pipe-borne noise transmission through wall framing and structural members. Built from polypropylene, the 263 accepts 1-inch CTS pipe or tubing and carries a 50-pound load rating, making it suitable for copper and plastic supply lines in residential plumbing assemblies. Plumbers and mechanical contractors install this clamp during rough-in to isolate water supply piping from the framing, limiting vibration and flow noise from passing through walls and floors.
The 263 is intended for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where noise control is a priority. It fits 1-inch CTS pipe or tubing and mounts through standard wall studs, suspending the pipe without rigid contact between the pipe and the framing. This is a domestic product suited for new construction and remodel work wherever acoustic isolation of supply piping is specified or desired by the installing contractor.
Designed as an OEM-style acoustic isolation solution for 1-inch CTS pipe and tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing rough-in applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers during the rough-in phase before wall close-up. Power and water supply to the affected lines must be shut off before repositioning or replacing existing pipe supports. The clamp is mounted through the stud bore so that the pipe is suspended within the isolator body without rigid contact with the framing member. Follow local plumbing code and IPC support-spacing requirements for the pipe material and size being installed.
