The RWC 24611 is a hand-operated cinch clamp tool designed to compress stainless steel cinch clamp rings onto PEX tubing connections ranging from 3/8 inch to 1 inch in diameter. It is used in water distribution systems where barb-style PEX fittings are the connection method of choice. The tool applies even clamping force around the ring, creating a secure, leak-resistant joint at the barb fitting. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters use this tool during new construction and remodel work. Its single-tool coverage across the 3/8 inch to 1 inch size range reduces the need for multiple dedicated clamp tools on the job.
This tool is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where PEX tubing is run for potable water distribution. It is used alongside the SharkBite barb connection system, which pairs barb fittings with cinch clamp rings as a lower-material-cost alternative to push-to-connect methods. Typical applications include supply line rough-in, manifold connections, and fixture drops in both copper-to-PEX and all-PEX systems.
Designed for use with standard stainless steel cinch clamp rings on 3/8 inch to 1 inch PEX tubing, compatible with the SharkBite barb connection system for water distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before making or modifying any PEX connections. Position the cinch clamp ring approximately 1/8 inch from the end of the tubing before seating the tool jaws over the ring ear — do not over-cycle the tool past the ring ear. Verify the completed clamp joint for proper seating before restoring water pressure.
