The RWC 23062LF is a multi-turn straight stop valve designed for PEX water distribution systems, featuring SharkBite barb connections on both ends. It accepts a 1/2-inch crimp fitting (CF) inlet and a 3/8-inch crimp fitting (CF) outlet, making it a practical shut-off solution for residential plumbing runs where PEX tubing terminates at fixtures. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass with a chrome finish, this valve offers corrosion resistance in potable water applications. The multi-turn stem provides controlled, incremental shut-off rather than a single quarter-turn stop, giving technicians precise flow management at the valve seat.
This stop valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing installations where PEX supply lines connect to fixtures such as faucets, toilets, or under-sink supply stops. The barb crimp connection system suits installations where lower material cost is preferred over push-to-connect fittings without sacrificing code compliance. It is sold individually and is appropriate for new construction and retrofit work in potable water distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation straight stop valve for residential PEX water distribution systems using standard crimp-style barb fittings at 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch crimp fitting connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before cutting into any existing supply line. A calibrated PEX crimp ring tool and the appropriate crimp rings for 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch connections are required to seat the barb fittings properly. Inspect crimp rings with a go/no-go gauge after crimping to confirm a leak-free connection before restoring water pressure.
