The RUUD RHGM-090ZL is a 7.5-ton commercial air handler rated at 90,000 BTU/h cooling capacity. It operates on 208/230/460 VAC, 60 Hz, 3-phase power and is built for either horizontal or vertical installation. The cabinet is constructed of galvanized steel with a powder coat finish. A two-circuit, interlaced row split evaporator coil uses copper tubes and aluminum fins for efficient heat transfer. Thermal expansion valves are standard on all models. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit in light commercial and commercial applications where a low-profile, flexible-mount air handler is required.
The RHGM-090ZL is engineered for commercial cooling applications in horizontal or vertical configurations. Its low-profile cabinet allows installation in most standard drop ceiling applications and fits through standard doorways to simplify replacement and addition work. The unit accepts one-inch throwaway filters as standard, with filter racks designed to accept one-inch or two-inch filters. Motors are mounted inside the insulated cabinet to reduce noise, and multiple motor horsepower and drive combinations are available to meet specified CFM at external static pressures up to 2 inches. Field piping connections are made through a fixed post between two side access panels, providing flexibility for most field conditions.
The RHGM-090ZL is rated and certified to operate with 7.5-ton remote heat pumps in the RPWL series. It may also be used with two straight cool condensing units or a single circuit manifolded in the field using the copper fittings shipped with each unit. This unit has not been tested, rated, or certified to operate with dual remote heat pumps.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and manufacturer guidelines. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing or installing this unit. Field refrigerant piping connections are accessible through side panels on either side of the unit; ensure all connections are pressure tested before system startup. Matching discharge plenums and decorative supply and return air grilles are available for installations within conditioned space.
